What People Are Saying

When you throw on some 8-Bit Mullet you know that shit is about to be ON FIRE!. His ability to seemlessly blend the dopest video game music from the 80’s and 90’s with classic and current hip hop is unparalleled. I get so tired of hearing video game DJ’s doing the same thing over and over again. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard a DJ just slap a gereric dance beat over a video game song a call it a day. This is where 8-Bit Mullet stands out. His use of hip hop, his tone, his song choices, his flow and his humor all culminate into pure auditory awesomeness that really set him apart from your garden variety DJ.

Each podcast is a fluid and meandering journey through a nastalgic wonderland that will always leave you wanting more. I’ve had the pleasure of listening to his entire catalog, as well as, attend numerous live performances and I can tell you that this man does not dissapoint. I’ve never heard a DJ before that can make you dance, laugh, and scratch your head in amazement all during the same song. I’m eagerly awaiting his next podcast. Gimme it. Now.

8-Bit Mullet presents this mix with a sincerity and emotional earnestness that is captivating, charming, hilarious, and at times, even tear-jerking...

Each song flows into the other as seamlessly as Primetime TV show blocks spent with your favorite TV families did...

If you’re in the mood for some good hip hop, enjoy a display the more subtle aspects of turntablism, or honestly, if you need a good cry via a trip down memory lane, download this mix and show 8-Bit Mullet some love. He definitely deserves the support after putting together what might be the most heartfelt release I’ve ever reviewed for the blog.
